TargetFax Desktop Fax Server has been designed specifically
for small businesses that need the power of a computer based

Desktop Fax Server allows users to send, retrieve, view, edit
and store faxes from one central location, or from their desktops,
using the TargetFax Client. The TargetFax Fax Server software
operates on the Microsoft NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Win2k3
operating systems. It also supports the Brooktrout and Eicon
families of intelligent fax boards.
Print-To-Fax Printer Driver
TargetFax Client has its own Windows-based Print-To-Fax driver
that allows users to send faxes from virtually any Windows application.
The Print-To-Fax Driver determines the image quality that will
be sent through the TargetFax Desktop Fax Server. Image quality
is a critical item related to the clarity, visibility and cost
of sending the fax! The Print-To-Fax driver also leverages the
power of the Mail-Merge functionality that is built into Microsoft
Word, Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, Accounting Packages,
Quoting Systems, Mortgage Applications, Contact Managers, CRM's
and Custom Applications. The Mail-Merge feature allows you to
quickly and automatically create, send and personalize form
letters, reports, invoices, rate sheets etc. to multiple recipients
through the TargetFax SBN Fax Server.
Phonebook Support
The TargetFax Desktop Fax Server has a built-in phonebook
that gives users the ability to import or directly link to
the most popular database formats. The TargetFax Desktop Fax
Server supports QuickFax Technology, giving users the capability
to send a fax without having to create a phone book entry
or open a phonebook database.
Scheduling & Queue Based Faxing
The TargetFax Desktop Fax Server has two scheduling options:
users may specify a particular queue type (PRIORITY, NORMAL,
DAY, NIGHT, READY) and/or choose a date and time for the fax
to be send. Queue based faxing is a very efficient and cost
effective way to schedule faxes to send during off peak hours,
to lower fax transmission costs, or to distribute large jobs
away from day-to-day production fax server traffic periods.
Personalizing TargetFax - Fax Server
The TargetFax Desktop Fax Server has a number of built-in
features that allow users to personalize their fax documents
and user environment. These include support for the following:
- Custom designed cover pages
- Personalized salutation
- Embedded signature files
- Insertion of unique headers and footers
- Data merge insert on cover pages (Watermarks, Signature Files, Custom Headers and Footers)
Receiving Faxes to Email, Printers,
Network Directories and More
The TargetFax Desktop Fax Server is an extremely cost efficient
and powerful tool for the electronic receipt of inbound faxes.
Inbound faxes can be automatically routed by the fax server
to e-mail addresses, printers, network directory or document
management system, based on the user, DID, CSID or Channel
Routing methods. Unique inbound naming conventions and other
personalized inbound routing mechanisms can be created with
the addition of the TargetFax WorkFlow Module to the TargetFax
Desktop Fax Server.
Forms Overlay
Forms Overlay allows information unique to each fax recipient,
which is typically stored in a fax server database, to be
embedded into an outgoing fax. Forms Overlay provides a faster
method of personalizing form letters, reports, or special
promotion campaigns.
